Like Macaws and Amazons, Conures are native to South and Central America and the Caribbean.
The (former) Latin name of many conures is "Aratinga", - "little macaw".
The new genus "Eupsittula" covers the Olive-/Brown-throated Conures.
The Orange-fronted Conure, also called Half Moon, is native to Pacific Mexico and Central America.
