The Nyala is a woodland antelope from southern Africa.

Adult male
The adult male has twisted horns, a mane and a dark grey-brown coat with narrow vertical stripes.
He looks similar to the adult male Sitatunga but has red or yellow lower legs whereas the Sitatunga has uniform dark legs.
Females and young have reddish, striped coats (without the horizontal stripe on the flank of Sitatungas) and no horns or manes.
They have a narrow black dorsal stripe.
They live mainly in family herds but single males are solitary.
