The Bongo is a forest antelope native to jungles of West and Central Africa and to Kenya. It has twisted horns and a rich red coat with narrow, white, vertical stripes.

The Bongo is Africa's largest forest antelope, reaching some 1.1-1.3 metres (c.4 ft) at the shoulder. Both male and female have horns, the male's usually larger.
