The Lesser Kudu is an antelope from densely shrubbed and dry forest habitat of eastern Africa.
It has two white bars on the underside of its neck. Adults can be about a metre high at the shoulder.
The male has large, spiralled horns and a grey striped coat with brown lower legs. It has no beard unlike
the male Greater Kudu. They are hunted for horns and meat and are mostly nocturnal.
The smaller female has no horns and is reddish brown with narrow vertical white stripes.
Her ears are enormous relative to the size of her head and they have exceptionally good hearing.
