Red-fronted/Red-headed Green Conures Psittacara sp. (prev. Aratinga)

Like the Macaws and Amazons, the Conures are native to South and Central America and the Caribbean. The (former) Latin name of many conures is " Aratinga", - "little macaw".

Most Aratinga conures with plain green plumage or red on green have been moved to genus Psittacara.
