Island Imperial Pigeon Ducula pistrinaria

The Island Imperial Pigeon is native to Pacific islands off Papua New Guinea (mainly Solomon Islands and Bismarck Archipelago). Like other Imperial Pigeons, it is an important disperser of seeds.

Male and female adults have similar pale grey plumage with green-bronze wings and tail and a russet vent.
