The Common or Eastern Wallaroo, although sounding like a kangaroo/wallaby cross, is a large, stocky
kangaroo native to hilly or mountainous areas of most of mainland Australia.
Its arms are short for rocky terrain.

Females are a sandier or greyer colour. Unlike most other kangaroos of the macropus genus,
the Common Wallaroo is mainly solitary and largely nocturnal.
