Ornate Tetra Hyphessobrycon bentosi

The Ornate Tetra, also called the Bentos or Bentosi Tetra, is native to well-vegetated, slow-moving tributaries of the Amazon and flood plains/lakes associated with them. It is pinkish silver with a white-tipped dorsal fin and red tail fins. Males have longer dorsal fins. The fish grows to some 4 cm long. (The related Rosy Tetra can look similar.)
