The Dracula Minnow belongs to the danio family and is endemic to a small area of Myanmar. Found only in one small stream
in northern Myanmar in 2007, it is translucent, looks like a larval fry and grows only to just over half a centimetre long (0.67cm).
Predecessors lost teeth in earlier forms and later developed bone fangs instead, larger on males than females, - hence the name "Dracula".
