Erebia turanica Mountain Ringlet Butterfly Erebia turanica

The Erebia turanica is a type of Mountain Ringlet Butterfly found in Central Asian mountain meadows such as the Tian Shan and Alatau in Kazakhstan. Like other Ringlets, the number of spots is variable (above shows 4 and 5 spots on the forewings); this species is particularly variable, some spots are merged to form blotches and some are absent.
