The rings on the Ringlet vary in number, size and clarity. The one top left is clearly and brightly marked;
the one below right is almost plain brown and similar to a male Meadow Brown.

The Ringlet butterfly is native to most of temperate Eurasia.
They like shaded grassy habitat with bushes and bramble.
