Cardinal Butterfly Argynnis pandora

The Cardinal butterfly is related to the Silver-washed Fritillary and, as its underwing shows, to the Dark Green Fritillary.

It is native to southern Europe, North Africa, West and Central Asia.

It has a pale bluish green wash on the topside.
