The Painted Stork with its black and white "woven" wing border and splash of pink on its rump is native to the Indian subcontinent
and also has a presence in coastal regions of Southeast Asia.
The Painted Stork is similar to the related Milky Stork (below) and can hybridise where their ranges overlap in Southeast Asia.
