The DUSKY MOORHEN (Gallinula tenebrosa) of Australia, New Guinea and Indonesia. Similar to its relative the
Common Moorhen but with orange legs and face-shield and no white flank.

Eats molluscs, crustaceans, insects, worms, small fish, seeds and water plants but will also sit on hippos and warthogs to clean ticks and parasites from them.
