Chestnut-fronted Macaw Ara severus/(severa)

The Chestnut-fronted Macaw, also called the Severe Macaw, is native to the south of Central America through to the northern Amazon.

As with other macaws, male and female have similar plumage.

There is bare creamy-white facial skin marked with tiny chestnut feathers, red shoulders and under-wing edge, blue outer wing edge and blue-green crown as well as the chestnut brow.
