The Yellow-collared Macaw, also known as Golden-collared and Yellow-naped, is native to central South America.
Formerly in the "Ara" group of larger macaws, it is now in "Primolius" group.
It has a bright yellow half-collar which gives it its name, blue wingtips and a red and blue tail. Facial skin is creamy white.
