The Peach-faced Lovebird, also sometimes called Rosy-faced, has a pink face with red brow, green body and mid blue rump. It has attractive feathers in its short tail of salmon-pink, green and blue.

It also has the thinnest eye-ring of the lovebirds and a light neutral or white beak (dark in juvenile).

They can be very affectionate, deserving their names of lovebirds, but can also be aggressive to protect their mate, possessions or territory.

Native to SW Africa, Peach-faced Lovebirds are commonly bred in captivity. There is also a feral colony of escapees living in the wild in Lothian, Scotland and, reportedly, one in London.
