Fischer's Lovebird is a small lovebird from eastern and central Africa. Like most lovebirds, male and female have similar plumage.
They have broad white eye-rings and adults have red beaks.
They like their baths.
They have an orange-red brow and face, olive back of head and orange chest.
On the back they have a golden collar and dark blue markings on their rump.
Several colour mutations have been bred in aviculture, the most usual being the blue which lacks yellow pigment and has a white face, pale grey head and pale beak.
