Yucatan/Yellow-lored Amazon Parrot Amazona xantholora

The Yucatan or Yellow-lored Amazon, native to Mexico, Belize and Honduras, is one of the smallest Amazons at some 26 cm length. Unusually for Amazons, the male, with a white crown and red eye/cheek, has different facial plumage from the female with blue crown and no red eye-ring.

The red eye ring of the male is interrupted by the yellow "lore".
