Red-browed Amazon Parrot Amazona rhodocorytha
The Red-browed Amazon of eastern Brazil used to be classed as a subspecies of the Blue-cheeked Amazon (link below),
but is now considered a separate species.
This endangered parrot has suffered from habitat destruction - forest clearance for agriculture, building and grazing -
and from capture for the pet trade.
