Indian/Blue Peahen Pavo cristatus
The usual colour of the Indian or Blue Peahen (the female Peafowl) is a grey-brown back with iridescent green around her neck.
Some Peahens show a lot more white on the head and body.
Peahen with chicks.
Peafowl chicks or Peachicks (not chickpeas).
The female also displays her tail plumage, usually to ward off female competition or signal danger to her young.
