The Yellow Wagtail is native to temperate Eurasia. In the warmer regions it may be resident but
in northerly and easterly areas it migrates south (Africa/Asia) in winter. There are several subspecies over its range,
often with different head plumage and names (see links below). Shown is the nominal subspecies, the Blue-headed Wagtail,
