Blue-headed Yellow Wagtail Motacilla flava flava

The Yellow Wagtail is native to temperate Eurasia. In the warmer regions it may be resident but in northerly and easterly areas it migrates south (Africa/Asia) in winter. There are several subspecies over its range, often with different head plumage and names (see links below). Shown is the nominal subspecies, the Blue-headed Wagtail, of continental Europe.
