Variable Sunbird Cinnyris (prev. Nectarinia) venustus

The breeding male Variable Sunbird has an iridescent blue-green head, back and wings with purple chest bordered with black, a black chin and usually a pale yellow front with white vent. The "variable" relates to the male's front ranging from orange-red through darker yellow to as white as the White-bellied Sunbird which it then resembles. It is native to equatorial Africa.

As with other Sunbirds, the female is mainly brown. She has a yellowish front and a pale "eyebrow".
