Long-tailed Glossy Starling Lamprotornis caudatus

The Long-tailed Glossy Starling has shining blue, turquoise and purple plumage like the Splendid Glossy Starling, with a black head and white eyes like the Superb Starling. As its name indicates it also has an extremely long tail like a magpie (and similar to the Royal Starling).

The Long-tailed Glossy Starling is native to northern tropical Africa, from Senegal in the west to Sudan in the east.

Male and female have similar plumage.
