Ruppell's Glossy Starling Lamprotornis purpuropterus

Ruppell's Glossy Starling has shining blue, turquoise and purple plumage with a black head and white eyes. Male and female have similar irridescent plumage.

Ruppell's Glossy Starling is native to Central and East Africa.

The male is an excellent mimic of other birds' song.
