Emerald/ Iris Glossy Starling Coccycolius iris

The EMERALD STARLING is also called the IRIS GLOSSY STARLING and sometimes placed in the same genus as the other Glossy Starlings (e.g. Purple and Blue-eared).

It is native to West Africa.

Male and female have similar iridescent green and purple plumage.

Like other starlings, this jewel is a gregarious bird.
