Common Bulbul
The Common Bulbul is common to much of Africa. The nominal subspecies shown here, from North Africa, has a white vent (but is not the "Light-vented" Bulbul of China). Another more southerly and extensive subspecies, also called the Dark-capped Bulbul (P. b. tricolor), looks similar but has a bright yellow vent. There are several other subspecies.
