European Green Toad Bufotes viridis

The European Green Toad (also called just the Green Toad in parts of Europe) is native to Central and Eastern Europe through to the Caucasus. It used to be classed together with others and in the Bufo genus but it and they have been split out to the Bufotes genus; several Bufotes toads can look similar. The spots can lighten or darken to dark green and brown depending on temperature and light. It is mainly nocturnal.
