The European Tree Frog, also called the Common Tree Frog, is native to much of continental Europe
covering France to Poland and south to Greece. (Similar tree frogs in part of or adjacent to its range, such as the Mediterranean,
are separate species.) Some claim it was previously native to the UK but became extinct from overharvesting for medicinal use.
Its top colour can vary from brown, yellow, olive or green depending on the environment.
It has a brown stripe along its flank and a pale underside. It has discs on the end of its fingers/toes to assist climbing.
She has a white chin and he has an orange-brown chin with a folded vocal sac. Length is only some 3-5cm.
