Mediterranean Tree Frogs
The Mediterranean Tree Frog, also called the Stripeless Tree Frog, is found in Spain, Portugal and southern France. It is also found on the Canary Islands but was introduced, not native. It is similar in appearance and habits to the Common or European Tree Frog (Hyla arborea, prev. Rana arborea) but is larger and doesn't have a brown stripe along its flank. Its colour can vary from the usual bright green and the dark olive green shown above to yellow-green, grey-green and tan brown. It has discs on the end of its fingers/toes to assist climbing.
Not visible above, she has a white chin and he has an orange-brown chin.
