Western Girdled Lizard Zonosaurus laticaudatus

The Western Girdled or Plated Lizard is native to forests of western Madagascar. It has two cream-coloured dorsal lines and some have a red throat. It can grow to 40-50cm long. It has been known to dive under water for a couple of minutes to evade predators.
