The Otter, also called the Eurasian Otter, is a semi-aquatic mustelid related to badgers and weasels.
The Eurasian Otter is native to fresh waterways and some coastal locations across much of Europe and temperate
Asia, North Africa and Southeast Asia.
Otters have partially webbed feet to assist with swimming.
Their diet is mainly fish, supplemented by occasional crustaceans and amphibians.
Male otters are called dogs, female otters are bitches and the young (above right) are called pups.
