The Asian Small-clawed Otter, also called the Oriental Small-clawed and Asian Short-clawed Otter,
is native to swamps of a swathe of southeast Asia from India to Vietnam.
The world's smallest otter, its short claws do not extend beyond its fingers/toes which allow it greater dexterity
in prising out aquatic molluscs and crustaceans.
They have partially webbed feet for swimming.
Like most otters, they are social and playful. They live in small family groups of monogamous pairs and relatives/offspring.
They are endangered in their natural habitat.
