Golden Lion Tamarin Leontopithecus rosalias
The beautiful Golden Lion Tamarin comes from two remaining, isolated coastal forests of Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil.
They live in small family groups. Male and female have similar appearance but the coat colour of individuals can vary
from pale yellow to red.
It is critically endangered as most of its habitat has been destroyed for housing and agriculture.
