The Western Black and White Colobus Monkey is native to rainforest of West Africa from Senegal to the Ivory Coast.
They are also known as King Colobus. Colobus means mutilated, named because Colobus monkeys have no thumbs.
They live in troops of either a group of females with 1-2 males or a bachelor troop of males. Classed as "vulnerable,
the monkeys have suffered from deforestation as well as being hunted.
