Bat-eared Fox Otocyon megalotis

The Bat-eared Fox has two separate populations, one in East Africa and one in South and Southwest Africa. Its name, in English and Greek/scientific, refers to its disproportionately large ears.

Bat-eared Foxes live in monogamous pairs on savanna grasslands, maintaining a territory and eating mainly large insects.
