The Canadian Lynx is native to pine forests of Canada, Alaska and the northern USA,
sharing part of the last with the related Bobcat.
The Canadian Lynx is much smaller than the Eurasian Lynx but has similar tufted ears,
a short tail and a spotted coat that fades with age. Its forelimbs are shorter than its hind limbs.

It is mainly solitary. Its main diet is the Snowshoe Hare. Kittens have blue eyes.
They can climb small trees. While the summer coat is reddish brown (earlier rows), the winter
coat is thicker and grey (photos above and below).
