The Bobcat is a lynx native to much of the USA, southern Canada and northern/central Mexico.
It is smaller than the Canadian and Eurasian Lynxes and has much shorter ear tufts.
It has a short "bob" tail. It is adaptable to various habitats including woodland, grassland,
rocky mountains, desert, swamp and even urban areas. It is mainly solitary and can climb well. Its main diet is rabbits
and hares, but it also kills small deer, rodents and birds.
