The Vietnamese Giant Stick Insect is native to tropical forests of Vietnam and is one of the longest insects known.
The larger female has a body length of 26-30 cm long, with the record being 32cm. With their front legs stretched forwards, they can
be half a metre long. Males are much narrower and about half as long. They were discovered by science only in 2014.
They cannot fly. They live high in the canopy, well-camouflaged and rarely seen. They eat leaves.
