Tipula ventralis Crane Flies Tipula ventralis

Tipula ventralis Crane Flies like chalk grassland in temperate Eurasia. They have a bold dark stripe along the thorax and abdomen, and (usually) greenish reflecting eyes.

The wings are patterned with brown and white patches.
