Sun Beetles are several species of colourful, patterned beetles which are native to Africa. They are also called Fruit Chafers. Adults eat soft fruit and flowers and larvae eat leaf litter.

Yellow-bellied Sun Beetles are also called Garden Fruit Chafers. The yellow and black markings (also yellow and dark brown) are to deter predators. The fissipunctua/fissipunctum species is native to Central and East frica. Adults grow to 2.5 cm.
