Red-tipped Flower Beetle Malachius bipustulatus

The Red-tipped Flower Beetle, also called the Malachite Flower Beetle, is metallic green with a red patch on the end of each wing case and, under the wings, a red back.

The adult beetle is usually found on flowers where it eats pollen, nectar and small insects. Its shiny green is often covered in pollen dust.

It is some 5-7mm long.
