Spotted Tilapia Pelmatolapia mariae

The Spotted Tilapia, also called the Spotted Mangrove Cichlid, is native to fresh and brackish water including mangrove swamps, coastal lagoons, estuaries and springs of West and Central Africa. It is invasive elsewhere.

It can reach 32cm long. The adults have a broken or spotted black lateral line giving them their name.
