The Golden Congo Tetra, sometimes called the Blue-eyed Congo Tetra, is a close relative of the irridescent
Congo Tetra and is native to rivers and streams in forests of the Congo River basin in D. R Congo, the Central African Republic and Gabon.
Shoaling species like most tetras, males are larger, growing to 8-9cm long and have longer dorsal fins
which can reach their tail fins (with the small tetra adipose fin between the two), but they don't have the long, ragged
anal and tail fins of the Congo Tetra cousin.
Diet is small insects that have fallen in the water, larvae and small crustaceans. Eggs are scattered when spawning.
