The Ember Tetra, also called the Fire Tetra, Dwarf Red and Amanda's Tetra, is native to
the Araguaia River basin of central Brazil.
A schooling fish in upper vegetation, the adult grows to only 1.5-2cm long. Depending on the light,
it can be metallic glowing orange (like embers) and part translucent.
It is also sometimes called the Almond Tetra, from its latin name amandae.
Size comparison: they are slightly smaller than the nano Neon Tetras.
