Mountain Crystal Tetra Protocheirodon (prev. Leptagoniates) pi

The Mountain Crystal Tetra is also called the Transparent Tetra, but several other tetras are also transparent or semi-translucent including the X-ray, Emba and Lemon Tetras. It is the only species in its genus and is native to calm backwaters of some mountain headstreams of the upper Amazon, including the Madeira and Ucayali rivers. A shoaling species, it grows to 3 cm long.
