Buenos Aires Tetra Hyphessobrycon anisitsi

The Buenos Aires Tetra is native to clean freshwater ponds, lakes and drainage of the La Plata Basin in Argentina, Paraguay and southeastern Brazil.

It is silver with red lower and tail fins and a white-bordered black patch near the tail. A pale lateral line is often visible. The fish grows to some 7-8 cm long.
