Giant Snakehead Channa micropeltes

The Giant Snakehead is native to rivers and lakes of IndoChina, the Malay Peninsula and Indonesia. Among the largest snakeheads, it can grow to 1.5 metres long. Like other snakeheads, it can breathe air through a primitive lung to supplement oxygen from poor water and also long enough to make short journeys overland to another water source.
