Blotched Snakehead Channa maculata

The Blotched Snakehead is one of four snakehead fish native to rivers and lakes of China, prevalent in southern China and northern Vietnam. It is small in snakehead terms but grows to a third of a metre. It can breathe air to supplement oxygen from poor water and long enough to make short journeys overland to another water source.
