Nile Pufferfish Tetraodon lineatus

The Nile Pufferfish, also called the Fahaka and Lineatus Pufferfish, is native not only to the upper Nile but also to other tropical freshwater systems from northwest to northeast Africa (the Gambia, Senegal, Volta, Chad and others). They can grow to over 40cm long. Like the marine puffers, they can inflate their bodies with water or air when stressed.
